Keto Day 4 Recap

I felt lazy today and really didn’t want to do my walk, so I enlisted my hubby and the kid to get me off my butt and we walked to the playground.  Almost 3 miles in 50 min.  Happy I got it done.


I went to Target today and they were having a ‘buy one get one 50% off’ sale on their bathing suits so I bought two tops.  My BFF and I are going to Cancun in April and honestly I think I went a little crazy on bathing suits.  In the fall Khols was having a huge clearance and I bought a a few for pretty cheap, like less than $5 each. So here is what I have…

I also have several black bottoms – some that are swim shorts and one swim skirt to go with the tops. The purple tank goes over the yellow bikinii and the yellow tank goes over the black bikini top.

So what did you come up with for the pop challenge?  Here is my list:

Avocado – 1/2 – 1 net carb 4 grams of fiber
Artichoke – 10.3 g fiber, 4 net carbs — I love artichokes!
Broccoli – 1 cup 5.1g fiber, 2.8 net carbs
Brussel sprouts – 10 sprouts – 7g fiber, 10 net carbs
Raspberries 1 cup 7 net carbs and 8 grams of fiber
Orange – 1 medium 7 g fiber, 14 net carbs
Blackberries – 1 cup 7.6g fiber, 6.2 net carbs
Almonds – Raw  1/4 cup – 5g fiber, 2.7 net carbs — This a bonus because it’s healthy fat and 8 g of protein
Chia seeds – 1 oz 10.7g fiber, 1.3 net carbs – I need to try some chia seed recipes
Ground flax seeds – 2 tblsp 4g fiber, 0 net carbs

I even got 14 grams of fiber today, not quite 25 grams, but I’m moving in the right direction.

Breakfast: decaf coffee w/half & half, coconut oil, and cinnamon.  1/2c raspberries w/ 1 tbsp heavy cream and 1/2 packet of splenda.
Lunch: GNC Total Lean 25 protein shake, left over broccoli/cauliflower casserole
Snack: 1 tablespoon Barney’s Vanilla Bean and Espresso Almond Butter —- freaking yum!
For dinner I made taco meatloaf for dinner.  It  was so good.  I wasn’t sure what to do for a side dish, so we ate it like taco salad.

1057 calories, 22g net carbs, 78g fat, 60g protein, 96oz water, 50 min walk

Little low on my protein again, I had planned on a whole serving of meatloaf and that would have gotten my protein in the right range, but I could only eat half of a serving.

Tomorrow is Monday…. who is excited for Monday?  Not me!  But I do have my 2 week post op appointment tomorrow, so that’s kind of exciting.  I will get my first fill schedule, I’m excited about that.  I can’t wait to get my band working.
